Reached 100 pounds Lost!!!

100 Pounds GONE FOREVER!!! WooHoo!!!

I have hit a milestone, I have lost 100 pounds from my gastric bypass surgery! 6 months on 4/13 will be my surgerversary. It has been a wild ride, but I'm in it for the long haul. I now only have 61 pounds left to reach my goal. I am so very thankful for all of the prayers and thoughts since my journey began, and would like those prayers and thoughts to continue.

My only problem in this journey is not being able to absorb nutrients from food. I have to seek them from outside supplements. I am trying out a supplement that sounds to be perfect for my "smaller pouch".

Vemma, a superjuice made up of vitamins, essential minerals, mangosteen and aloe in a 2oz daily dose. I am giving it their 30 day empty bottle guarantee, and will let you know how things go. I will have labs 2 weeks into taking it and hopefully they won't be as bad as they have been. Surprisingly, my Doctor is on board with this and I was surprised to find out Vemma is in the PDR.

Shedding my old skin

See my new pic, well thanks to Jane she found that picture for me. I had a busy week and didn't make time to blog. I had two Dr appts this week and my labs were good and not so good. I am low in A, D,iron and I'm hyperthyroid now instead of hypo. My Cholesterol was 131 and my LDL was 75. Which was unbelievable. I have taken Heart Health Omega III by Market America for so long that it has finally paid off. Since my gastric bypass I have lost 89 pounds to date and now only have 72 pounds to goal. Amazing!!

What have I done with my life?

Have I made it memorable and worthy? I was thinking this after I left a memorial service for a lady that my parents and I knew that passed from ovarian cancer. She was an advocate for childhood rape victims. Bringing peace and calmness to the hurting in a way that only Kathleen could do. When I pass, what will people say about me. I don't believe I am that memorable. I am sure that I have done things that people will remember, but do they have a lasting effect that will help someone in need. Maybe change they way they react in certain situations.

I realized that I don't want a sad memorial service, but a upbeat celebration of my life. I want bright ballons let go into the air afterwards. Our worship team to play the music that I love.

OK, done with that!

I had a fantastic birthday. I went shopping and bought a size 16 jacket that FIT!!!!. It's tight but I could get it on. I am now down 87 pounds!. Unbelievably, I only have 74 more to go. 30 to where I was when I got married soon to be 23 years ago. I am amazed every time that I step on the scale.

Happy Birthday To Me!

Yep, it's my birthday, well actually not until Sunday, I am celebrating all weekend. We took a road trip to Yorktown, Va to see my parents. We packed up the car with the fur-kids and an amazing amount of stuff (the trunk was full) and headed for Va. It takes us 6 hours if Gene drives and almost 7 if I do. Gene drove up, but I will be driving home on Sunday, he hurt his back. We will be eating SF banana pudding for my birthday dessert this year. I will post a pic in a few days. I will also let you know how good it was. I found some new protein today, will try to find it through my MA site and post a link so that all of you WLS buddies will be able to get it. Well, it's time to go. I'll be back later on.

Superbowl Sadness

Man Oh Man that was a great tight game! I was hoping that the Cardinals would pull it off! They need the protein drink that I have been using at night and after I work out. Torch After Burn, it tastes good and comes in Chocolate and Vanilla. I like the vanilla the best. Let me know if you try it and like it.

Have a Great Day.

Another Pound!

Wow, I got on the scale today I had lost another pound! So that makes 82 LOST and 79 more to GO! Woo Hoo!! I'm doing the happy dance today!!!. ALSO, my skirt that I paid 3.00 for on sale IS TOO BIG!!!, I'm going to have to get it taken up!. I wore it today and every time I got up from my desk, I had to check to make sure that it was where it was supposed to be! Not in a very LONG time has this happened to me. I have been using Pentaxyl for about two years and don't have any wrinkles on my face, so I decided to start putting it on my stretch marks that are appearing because of all the weight that I am losing. If you want to check it out just click on Pentaxyl link below. Anyway, enough about me. I would like to hear from you so drop a comment, all you have to do is click on the comment line under the post, it then provides a box for you to type in your comment to my post. It's that easy, I look forward to hearing from you.

New Beginnings in 09

Change, I am one to not like change, but with RNY you can't help but change many times a week! When my journey started, I stopped drinking carbonated soft drinks, which let me tell you wasn't easy. You could say that I should have owned stock in Coke products. We went through 4 two liters a week. Yep, I lived in sugar heaven. Now my DH (dear husband) might drink 1 every two weeks! Yes, that's change. On October 13th, the day of my surgery, my life changed dramtically. I have lost 81 pounds to date, which is a MAJOR change. I haven't weighed 221 in I guess about 15 years. I have changed sizes 4 times and now will only buy a few clothes. I don't want to spend a lot of money on clothes that I will wear for two weeks, it's just not smart. People that haven't seen me in awhile have come up to me and asked if I had been sick, others look twice and then ask tentatively my name, just in case they have the wrong person. It's fun to see the look on their faces when I tell them how much weight I've lost.

What I ate today: Breakfast: 6 ounces Yoplait blackberry yogurt, it was good except for the blackberry seeds, I wasn't expecting that! Lunch: 1/4 cup corn chowder and a quarter of a grilled cheese sandwich. That was Good! Water throughout the day with grape drink mix and my vitamins. For Dinner I had a Morningstar farms sausage pattie and OJ. For my late nite snack I will probably drink a protein shake, or have protein ice cream. Thanks to a fellow blogger, theworldaccordingtoeggface. She has the BEST recipes for protein ice cream and protein shakes.

I am listening to the TV, last nights extreme makeover home edition.
